The Global Media Team at ALDI is a newly formed, fast-growing department. Charged with supporting ALDI’s in-country marketing teams, this team of media experts are leading projects to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of all media investment at ALDI. Working with all ALDI South markets, the Global Media Team sits mainly in London, but operates an office-on-demand model, reflecting its future-facing approach.

ALDI is looking for an experienced media specialist to join the department, working alongside the existing team to deliver globally led projects and help upskill the in-country teams. Enthusiastic about all things media, you will take an active interest in developments and trends in the sector. Knowledge of global media markets would be helpful, but it’s more important that you’re eager to build up your own knowledge-base and spend time understanding the markets with whom you work.

Your New Role

• Play a key role in developing ALDI’s global advertising community
• Responsible for managing multiple projects and timelines to ensure everything is kept on track and delivered
• Communicating, liaising, and building relationships with multiple stakeholders and coordinating groups of people to keep projects progressing
• Directly contributing to the success of the rollout of projects from the Global Media Team across ALDI South markets
• Working with external partners, media agencies and internal international stakeholders
• Ensuring the media output is evolving and being the best, it can be

About You

• Strong background and experience within a media environment
• Proficiency in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams.
• Direct or indirect experience within the Retail sector would be desirable
• Experience of managing media activity within a wide range of markets
• Experience of working within a team that operates globally
• Ability to work and deliver under own initiative and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills and comfortable working within a team and independently
• Strong team player
• Professional and articulate individual
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Salary starting from £33,035 rising to £38,580
• 23 Month Fixed Term Contract
• 5-day/40-hour week, working Monday- Friday, with an office on demand working model (you only come into the office when requested, with a primary office location in London / Tamworth)
