DESCRIPTION

Amazon Fuse is a newly launched product and team at Amazon. The Fuse team works closely with international partners in the mobile space.

The Fuse team is seeking an experienced TPM to contribute to the technical integration strategy that will be used by multiple Amazon businesses through dozens of international markets. The role provides provides high visibility and the opportunity to work with both Amazon internal teams as well as external customers.

This role requires working closely with business, engineering and marketing leaders across Amazon and with external partners. The role will define success measures for roadmap items and demonstrate measurable impact on those success metrics. You will influence product roadmap using data driven customer insights. The right candidate will provide vision and drive the evolution and strategy for integrations and launches. This role will partner with engineering teams to develop ways to identify improvements for scaling internal services. The TPM will gather business requirements from downstream users: other engineering teams, business partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience managing technical programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams
  • System design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry, including hands-on management of large, cross-functional software efforts
  • Ability to conceptualize complex interrelated applications and system platforms, as well as the ability to effectively communicate those systems to non-technical team members and business partners
  • Strong bias for action and a “get it done” attitude
  • Experience working with remote and global teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong bias for action and “get it done” attitude
  • Deep technical expertise and strong analytical skills are a must
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior project managers
  • A Masters in computer science or related technical discipline
  • Deep experience with data science and machine learning
