As a Barclays Pensions Governance Manager, you will support the Director of Pensions Financial Governance in the application and delivery of global pensions financial reporting and other pensions related projects. What will you be doing?

  • Assisting with Barclays yearly and quarterly global pension accounting disclosures
  • Producing management reports for forecasting of pension costs and pension disclosures for senior executives, related parties and subsidiaries
  • Preparing regular papers for pension governance committees
  • Providing secretarial support to internal pension advisory committees
  • Managing pension aspects of annual flexible benefits scheme renewal, including testing and design review
  • Providing technical support on projects specifically relating to Barclays IT systems and processes
  • Supporting Service Delivery Team with pension change projects
  • Supporting internal stakeholders and administrators with resolving complex escalated queries, making appropriate management decisions

What We’re Looking For

  • Knowledge of current and prospective UK pensions legislation, strategy and compliance requirements
  • Good MS PowerPoint, Excel and data analytical skills
  • Experience of working with HR IT systems and pension administration systems
  • Experience of working in a risk and controls environment

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Relevant professional qualifications, either completed or in the course of study (e.g. APMI would be ideal but not essential)
  • Exposure to actuarial techniques, pensions corporate accounting and risk management procedures is preferred
  • Knowledge of data management, pension administration practice and third party supplier management would be advantageous
  • Experience in secretarial work would help you thrive into this role
