Website Birmingham City Council
Birmingham is on a bold transformation journey. We have grand ambitions for the city, our citizens, and the council. There is no bigger, or more exciting place to work right now.
We are looking for innovative and passionate individuals who are motivated by wanting the best possible outcomes for Birmingham’s 1.2 million citizens to join our new Corporate Performance Team.
Curious and analytical in how they approach things, the Performance and Research Officers will play a key role in managing aspects of the Council’s overall Performance Framework, including the collation of performance information to support and inform discussion about performance and service improvement.
Drawing on excellent numerical, verbal, and written communication skills they will be experienced at considering different sources of qualitative and quantitative data to produce and present high-quality research, insight and intelligence which informs strategic decision making.
These are corporate roles, requiring the building of effective and trusting relationships with colleagues across the organisation, working collaboratively with directorates and services including engaging and influencing senior leaders. We anticipate candidates will have experience of creating opportunities for change based on insight, evidence and a strong understanding of the context and environment their organisation is operating in.
