About This Role

We’re investing in the future of Enterprise – building new customer and colleague experiences, moving to a brand new IT architecture, finding more efficient ways of operating and also launching new products and services for the future. It’s a complex transformation journey, over multiple years, with significant investment and involving teams from across BT.

The role will be accountable for making sure everything we are doing all comes together to make us successful – and we do genuinely deliver better experiences, a more efficient operation and move to our new IT architecture. The role will also own the benefits profile for our transformation and ensure we are doing everything we can to deliver our north star goals and SIMPLIFY targets.

The role holder will ensure that programmes are clear on their scope, ensure they are interlocked with other programmes, dependencies are well understood, and make recommendations to the Transformation Director to adjust the portfolio if necessary. It will be essential to maintain the overall transformation roadmap for Enterprise and help communicate this across the business, so everyone knows the role they play.

You’ll Have The Following Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the overall transformation roadmap for Enterprise, showing how our transformation comes together to deliver our north star goals.
  • Ensure programmes are clear on their scope and resolve, on behalf of the Transformation Office Director, any disputes on scope.
  • Ensure programmes are well interlocked with other programmes and dependencies are well understood and managed.
  • Make recommendations to the Transformation Office Director on what programmes to start, stop, refocus and accelerate in order to deliver our overall objectives.
  • Own the Enterprise benefits profile, including north star goals and SIMPLIFY targets.
  • Communicate clearly to the business how and when transformation will impact them. Galvanise and align stakeholders across Enterprise, and BT (up to and including Director level) – inspiring colleagues to go beyond and deliver brilliant outcomes.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for business improvement that align to and help Enterprise achieve strategy and plans.

You’ll Have The Following Skills & Experience

  • Ability to understand and articulate a complex, inter dependent set of transformation programmes.
  • Transformation mapping skills, including the representation of deliverables, dependencies and benefits.
  • End to end process design skills, linking organisational context and behaviours and the links between structure, people, process and technology to make sure we succeed.
  • Agile methodology accreditation.
  • Manage and lead senior stakeholders (at CEO and MD level) and influence the programme strategy.
