Job Description:

As the aviation industry regulator, the CAA has a duty to the public to ensure we develop airspace and air traffic management (ATM) regulation and policy that is both effective and reflects the ever-evolving technological landscape. This is never truer than today as we begin to implement the Airspace Modernisation Strategy (AMS) and move towards the integration and management of new types of airspace user.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be either a licensed air traffic controller, or ex-military air traffic controller, with a deep understanding of relevant UK and international ATM regulatory requirements and other non-regulatory material.
  • Have the foresight to anticipate new developments and the ability to review, derive and influence policy and requirements for a broad range of topics.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative with minimal guidance and have high levels of commitment, reliability, and flexibility, whilst being a great teammate.
  • Possess strong networking and communication skills, both written and oral, which will enable you to engage with and influence partners at all levels throughout the CAA and externally.
  • Have knowledge and practical experience in safety management and project management in an ATM context.
