Family Contact Worker (Specialist) – 3 positions available.

The role of a Specialist Family Contact Worker is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of children from birth to 16 years, so good knowledge of child development is required. You will be required to support the child to have safe positive contact with their parents and significant others in a safe secure setting or out in the community depending on the family’s needs. Your role will be to observe, offer support and guidance around parenting and modelling play. Your observations will feed in to parenting assessments that can be used in the court arena. The role will require you to work with other professional all with the common goal on getting the best outcome for the child. You will work as part of a team of Specialist Family Contact Workers. This role will require you to be flexible with your hours and to be able to drive to various locations and to transport some children to and from contact.
