We are looking for someone with an attention to detail to provide technical support within the Reporting and Technical Services team that handles data systems for Adults and Children’s Social Care, Education, Public Health and Youth Offending, producing both regular reporting as well as responding to bespoke data requests.

Ideally proficient in SQL and PowerBI, you will have a passion for accuracy, be technically competent in a wide range of Microsoft products, such as SSRS, but also be confident in working in a customer-focused environment.

You will be used to handling highly confidential data in a secure way, as well as ensuring that the end-user is happy with the report or product that you have supplied, listening to any concerns that they might have and acting on them.

Main duties include:

  • To understand the information systems in the Directorates and be responsible for the confidentiality of such data as appropriate in accordance with the Data Protection Act;
  • To update and extract information, interrogate systems, analyse data and produce reports as required by Senior Management and business/service units;
  • To design and create new reports to support new or revised Directorate developments and requirements using tools such as PowerBI, SQL, SSRS
  • To manage business and practitioner workshops to prepare business specifications to support reporting developments;
  • To develop and maintain reporting in a manner that supports the efficient production of management/performance reporting;
  • To maintain an in-depth knowledge of all statutory and local reporting requirements;
