We are looking to recruit for a Policy Intelligence Improvement Advisor.

The role holder will be a member of the Strategy and Business Planning team within the Innovation & Digital service.

You will play a key role in the development and implementation of the Cornwall Plan, the Council Plan, internal policies, supporting the building and maintaining of strategic network of contacts, and taking lead responsibility for particular areas listed under the key objectives.

The ideal candidate will be alive to new directions in national policy and consultations, including the Government’s key public sector reforms. Providing member and seniors officers (both internally and partners externally) with appropriate evidence-based policy advice and options.

This role will also ensure that the Council, and its partners, base their decisions on robust information (strategy, policy and intelligence based) from a variety of sources, to allow, not only the Council, but all our partners to make strategic decisions based on accurate evidence.

This role will promote and facilitate a greater level of community and customer engagement and insight; working in partnership with internal and external partners to gain a clear picture of what residents want from public services and how we can best provide this.
