Directorate: Corporate Resources
Hours: 37 hours a week, 5 out of 7 days a week – see working times below
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Council House and Derby Arena
We are looking for an individual with vast experience within the cleaning industry, who has previously managed teams, worked at a variety of sites and would like to take the next step towards management.
You will be responsible for the cleaning team at the Council House and Derby Arena although you will be required to attend call outs to various sites should the need arise.
Derby Arena is a multiuse indoor arena and velodrome. You will support in the service delivery for the many events that are delivered from Comedians, Pantomime, tribute acts sporting events and many more.
The role will be communicating with customers daily and monitoring the cleaning standards to ensure we deliver a high-quality service. Tackling any shortfalls and providing key feedback to the management team. You will also be at the forefront of changing the shape of how we deliver our services, looking into new ways of working, trialling new products and equipment and continuously looking at ways of improving our delivery service.
As you are required to drive round the city as part of your job role you will need use of a vehicle and business use on your vehicle insurance.
You will be required to participate standby arrangements on a rota basis aimed at providing an adequate level of service for out of normal working hours to include bank holidays. You will receive payment for this.
Working times; A mixture of 6.30am-2.30pm, 2.30-10.30pm and 10am-6pm to include an unpaid break, occasionally working until late to accommodate Derby Live events.
