At Derby City Council we want the best for the children and young people living in our residential care homes. In return, we can offer you a very competitive salary, good benefits and exciting and rewarding career opportunities.

Our approach is to provide creative child centred care for children and young people who are looked after. We believe that every child/young person has the right to the highest quality of care and have a safe, supportive, trusting and nurturing environment. We facilitate the development and empowerment of each young person, so they grow into mature responsible adults.

As a Residential Child Care Worker your key role will be to support children and young people within a residential setting. Our residential children’s homes provide short to long term care for young people and children who for a variety of reasons are unable to live with their families.
