Due to recent service expansion and new commissioning, ELCAS (East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Services) is now providing specialist mental health services for young people up to the age of 18.

Working as a Mental Health Practitioner in our Intensive support team you will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment and intervention for children and young people with severe and complex mental health difficulties. Your role will be within an evolving team which will include some service provision within the day unit but may involve some assessments in the community and acute hospital premises.

You Will Be Responsible For

Case management, care plan, one to one sessions and group work, joining complex assessments, working with families and being part of the MDT.

You may be required to travel within the community and across hospital sites.

The Trust offers preceptorship for newly qualified practitioners.

The role involves travel between sites, so access to private transport for work purposes is essential. due to current circumstances the role currently combines home working as well as clinical service commitments across hospital sites
