International Manager

Salary Range – £27,228 – £33,185

37 hours per week x 52 weeks per year

This post is offered on fixed term basis to 31 October 2023

The Role

The International Manager will develop and implement marketing and recruitment strategies in target countries/regions in order to support college wide student recruitment objectives. The International Manager will also oversee international projects which includes the colleges Turing programme, student mobility projects plus the college’s homestay service. The successful post holder will also be the principal resource of student recruitment expertise within the college for the International market.

Please note that overseas travel is required as part of the role.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of recruitment activity in a portfolio of countries in order to meet recruitment targets.
  • The portfolio may range in nature from established to emerging and new markets. This includes producing and implementing annual market plans and ongoing evaluation of their effectiveness.
  • Oversee and manage the delivery of international projects within the designated programme/s, within funding parameters and to meet agreed delivery milestones and impact objectives. Projects include the colleges Turing programme, student mobility groups and Homestay service.
  • Provide high quality market analysis based upon market intelligence for the countries/regions. This may be in relation to a range of priorities; from support of the overall institutional strategy to helping to deliver against a specific operational objective.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with schools, universities and other education providers which have been identified as sources for student recruitment. Engagement may be through a variety of channels including: the provision of information and guidance, coordination of curriculum enrichment activities, and hosting inward visits to the college.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key external stakeholders e.g. sponsors, foreign embassies, British Council, English UK and both government and non-departments.
  • Select, train, and manage a network of effective recruitment agents. This will include setting intake targets at the start of each admissions cycle and reviewing performance
