Strategic Engagement Manager (12 Month FTC)

Homebased, UK (with monthly travel to various locations and the London Office)

Our Client

Our client looks after green spaces in the UK and works to promote their needs.

They co-ordinate and support the policy views of multiple organisations by facilitating discussion and supporting their development and capacity to effect change.

They achieve these goals by raising the profile of the work the organisations undertake to policymakers and Parliamentarians.

Crucially, they ensure that our public spaces are sustainable, enjoyable and prosperous, so that they can be enjoyed by their many visitors now and future generations to come.

They are currently looking for a Strategic Engagement Manager to join them for a 12 month fixed-term contract, working on a full-time basis.

The Role

As the Strategic Engagement Manager, you will support the development of new initiatives by representing our client at the national, strategic level.

Acting as the primary liaison between different organisations, you will attend partnership planning meetings as an internal advocate to provide information and support the business planning process.

Overseeing and providing feedback on proposals, you will consider governance or operational issues and provide the Board with additional strategic insight or flag developments for Board approval.

About You

To be considered as a Strategic Engagement Manager, you will need:

  • Experience of successful partnership working at the regional and/or national level
  • Evidence of working with key delivery organisations in Protected Landscapes
  • The ability to integrate and assimilate large amounts of data in a complex policy context
  • The ability to act as a representative and increase engagement with our client’s policies
  • The ability to work at the national level with a range of audiences
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills, especially MS Word, Access and PowerPoint

Ideally, you will have a recognised professional qualification or degree (or equivalent) and a strong understanding of recent reviews relating to the sector.
