Salary Range: £34,242- £38,539 per annum (plus £3,000 Market Supplement for Senior Social Workers)

Work Location: Romsey Former Magistrates Court

Hours per week: 37

Contract Type: Temporary (12 Months)

The Role:

Working as a Social Worker or Senior Social Worker you will be part of a supportive and friendly team working with other social/health care professionals to improve the wellbeing of
adults who communicate using British Sign Language

Ideally, we are looking for people who can demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with their colleagues, other professionals and the people who use our services.

You will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of how to apply a strengths-based approach to practice, whilst being person centred and able to promote safe and effective social care services in accordance with the Care Act 2014. You will assess service users in a variety of settings, including virtual platforms.
You will ideally have some knowledge of Deaf Culture and some BSL skills.

Our Teams:

The Deaf Services Team are a county wide social care team. You will need to be confident in working autonomously and willing to embrace full use of digital technology. As a Social Worker, you will need good organisational skills (including the ability to balance competing workload demands) and will need to travel independently across the county.
