Salary Range: £18,333 – £18,517 per annum


Work Location: Winchester, Bishops Waltham Workshop, Hook Workshop, Micheldever Workshop, Petersfield Workshop or Totton Workshop (whichever is closest to your home)


Hours per Week: 37


Contract Type: Temporary (18 months) with a view to offering a permanent position

The Role:

A vacancy has arisen for an Apprentice Business Administrator for Hampshire Transport Management.

Hampshire Transport Management (HTM) provides the County Council with a fleet management and maintenance service. We run a broad fleet of around 800 vehicles.

The role will be based at either one of our six sites, normally which ever is closest to your home to minimise your travelling; HQ (Winchester), Bishops Waltham, Hook, Micheldever, Petersfield or Totton Workshops. As part of your ongoing training, you will have the opportunity to travel to all of our sites and a vehicle will be provided.

Your role will consist of checking financial data daily, processing orders, paying and raising of invoices, taking meeting minutes and other administration duties including, reception work, raising job cards, dealing with customers and suppliers, dealing with courtesy vehicle admin and other associated office duties.

We are looking for a person who will be able to work on their own initiative, to be able to deal with customers/suppliers within a busy vehicle workshop environment and to work well as part of a team.

At the end of an 18 month Apprenticeship Programme, you will have learned to work flexibly across a multitude of administration tasks across all 6 sites of HTM.

If successful there will be the opportunity of a permanent position and a career in the fleet industry.

Due to the funding arrangements in place we are unable to support any candidates who have already achieved a Degree level education.
