Senior Manager – Disclosure of Interest – Compliance

The Disclosure of Interest Senior Manager, you’ll be part of a team who will be responsible for undertaking robust and effective Compliance and Risk Stewardship of the controls being operated to ensure effective Disclosure of Interest (DOI) reporting is undertaken including shareholding disclosure notification reporting. You will work with the DOI Operations team who operate the control and other Business and Compliance teams to ensure that HSBC complies with the relevant regulations, thereby delivering fair outcomes for customers and embedding a robust risk management culture in HSBC’s business processes.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Disclosure of Interest & Entity Compliance Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Challenge (as a risk steward) the activities, processes and procedures that are undertaken by the DOI operations team based in multiple locations.
  • Working with Regulatory Affairs, DOI Operations, Lines of Business, Regulatory Compliance and business stakeholders; carry out impact analysis and advice on regulatory change.
  • Review and oversee analysis of DOI change requirement prepared by Regulatory Development colleagues.
  • Execution and tracking of project initiatives & deliverables within their scope, providing timely updates to management and key stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive culture of compliance by working proactively with the business lines, Business risk and control officers and other compliance professionals to ensure that best practices are followed.


To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Disclosure of Interest/Share Holding Disclosures.
  • Ideally experience operating in a similar Risk Steward capacity with a strong Regulatory Compliance background.
  • Able to manage various stakeholders of all levels, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.

The base location for this role is: London or Edinburgh / Hybrid with the expectation of 2-3 days in the office per week.
