Due to the expansion of current CT services, we are looking for motivated individuals who are flexible to the needs of the service to join our dynamic team here at Glangwili Hospital in West Wales.

The CT department has two scanners including a state of the art Aquilion Prime Prism Edition providing a range of imaging to support trauma, CT fluoroscopy, vascular, MSK, paediatric and oncology referrers. In the next six months we will be developing a Cardiac CT service.

Post graduate training and promotion into advanced practitioner status is encouraged. The Health board has a lot of extended practice including Plain film, CT and MRI reporting and radiographer led and reported HSG/barium studies.

The area is surrounded by beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside, unspoilt beaches and is close to Swansea and an hour from Cardiff.

The successful candidate must take part in the on-call CT rotation.

Main duties of the job

Ensure excellent image quality

Provide efficient and effective running of CT lists

Provide excellent patient-centred care

Maintain good working relationships between all departments

Have a flexible approach to what the CT service requires

Be proactive in fulfilling the responsibilities of the role

Applicants will possess BSc / DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration plus appropriate NHS diagnostic imaging experience.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
