We have a fantastic opportunity for an IKEA Food Team Leader at our Cardiff store on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity, and you’ll be joining a great team!

• This is a benchmarked, salaried role.
• 39-hour contract working 5 days over 7, which includes alternative weekends.
• We operate 7 days a week and so full availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends is essential.

You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, including at busy peak periods, supporting and leading your team in an inspirational way to deliver a great customer experience. You will have a passion to inspire co-workers to achieve common goals. You will be someone who believes in the IKEA Concept, has IKEA Brand Identity and lives the IKEA Culture and Values.

• You enjoy working in a fast-paced and busy environment, which may involve juggling multiple tasks.
• It is desirable that you have previous experience in leading teams, and you are happy to do so in an engaging, inspirational way and through the IKEA values.
• You have previous experience working within a food and hospitality role.
• You are sales driven and service-minded with experience of serving customers.
• Your passion for food makes you take pride in the service and product you serve.
• You have experience from and enjoy working in a vibrant retail environment.
• You are flexible and know how to execute action plans in a good way; you truly make things happen!
• The IKEA leadership approach inspires you and to lead by example is important to you.

As a Food Team Leader, you will work with your team to create a safe, healthy, sustainable, and joyful food experience for both the customer and the co-worker.

• Responsibility for ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, attractive, and inviting. You also ensure our products are always in perfect condition and correctly priced.
• Promoting a safety first culture, as well as coaching others in ensuring routines and requirements are known and followed in all daily work.
• Keeping the customer in focus and taking action to optimise sales and inspire our customers.
• Being passionate about the food we serve and sell, and actively learn about it and share your knowledge with customers and colleagues.
• You contribute and support the implementation of the store Business Plan and IKEA Food action plan.
• You lead your team in an inspiring and engaging way – and through the IKEA Values – to create a joyful, safe workplace.
