ROle overview

Advance the People Teams impact by championing transition to JD Business as usual (BAU) teams as part of HRIS programme. Enabling clusters of European countries go live with a single solution, aimed at positioning JD as an employer of choice.

The JD People team puts the colleague at the heart of what we do to develop a level of service that emulates the JD brand and maximises colleague experience.

We are looking for a BAU Controller to contribute talent, expertise, and leadership in the planning, design, development, configuration, and launch of all transformation activities. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders within the European Project Team and wider stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the “AS IS” to “TO BE” state as part of project delivery.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working with colleagues within the Project /Programmes you will ensure that transition activities are fully integrated into project plans and that these are clear and compelling supporting the delivery of well-defined benefits.
  • You will support the establishment of a network of stakeholders including subject matter experts, -product owners and Project Sponsors working with them to ensure coherence between project plans and transition activities.
  • You will support the roadmap of the future state for the HRIS solutions across Europe.
  • Supporting the Project team to transition from AS IS state to TO BE state in line with the programme plan.
  • Supporting the development of robust transition plans for the programme, whilst ensuring end to end process integrity to deliver effective and lasting change across the business.
  • You will be responsible for applying robust methodologies and frameworks for service transition.
  • You will translate complex technical change projects and programmes to ease the transition to live for our wider colleagues.
  • You will fully integrate service transition activities into project plans in clear and compelling way to support the delivery to future state.
  • You will play an integral part in the delivery of projects into the delivery lifecycle and contributing to a smooth project transition in to live operational use.

  • You will manage and support preparation for systemic enhancements or business driven change on already live functionality whilst still in the programme delivery period

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed

  • Knowledge and Experience of transition practices and experience of applying robust transition approaches within complex technical projects.
  • Proven delivery in a change management function.
  • Highly organised, able to work in a fast-paced environment and plan/manage time accordingly.
  • Confidence, experience and knowledge to question stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to come up with creative solutions when facing problems.
  • Self-starter able to work with limited guidance.
  • Previous experience in deploying HRIS solutions across multiple territories beneficial
  • Elevated level of attention to detail with strong administrative and organisational skills and be able to prioritise your own and your team’s workload
  • Must be methodical and be able to work to strict deadlines.
  • Have an awareness of GDPR and be able to act with absolute discretion and confidentiality
