Job Description:

We wish to appoint two additional lunchtime organisers to join our team supervising the dining and play of children of all ages during the lunchtime period.

Job Responsibilities:

  • encouraging children’s positive and safe play
  • promoting and encouraging positive relationships between children
  • vigilant supervision and safeguarding of children during their ‘free play’ time
  • working mainly outdoors (except in poor weather)
  • dealing, on occasion, with inappropriate or unsafe behaviours or other issues, including minor accidents and/or injuries

Job Requirements:

  • is willing to promote and support children’s physical activity at lunchtimes, e.g. encouraging games
  • is happy to work outdoors
  • has an interest in working with children
  • can cope well in a busy environment
  • works well in a team
  • is flexible and willing to work with different age groups (3 – 11 years)
  • has warmth, care, sensitivity and patience when supporting children
  • has regard for children’s safety and welfare
  • is willing to take part in training and support offered, including whole-school policy training which may, on occasion, fall outside of the contracted hours

Qualification & Experience:

  • Most schools and colleges make it a requirement that their application forms and supporting documentation be fully completed and returned directly to their offices.
