Description

The EMEA Client Services team is responsible for the successful onboarding and continued service offering to our clients globally.

The Contract Specialist team (CST) is part of the EMEA Client Service Team and provides support in terms of drafting & negotiation of legal agreements with clients who are contracted with JPM legal entities in EMEA. CST is also responsible for control, governance, training and oversight in respect of client contractual documents.

Roles & Responsibility

Ownership of negotiation and escalation process

  • Negotiating standard, adaptive and bespoke agreements and amendments of all Intermediaries investing in OEICs, HKUTs, and SICAVs.
  • Understand information provided and add commercial value by proposing a solution to the stakeholders/teams/clients.
  • Fundamental understanding of asset management business, product range and client types.
  • Proactively taking end to end ownership and accountability of tasks and queries, escalate where appropriate.

Ownership Of Documentation

  • Obtain robust understanding of J.P. Morgan legal agreements and risk positions on negotiated clauses.
  • Review all legal agreement negotiation forms, list of issues and red-lined agreements before distribution to Legal.

Ownership of MIS, Analysis and Technology

  • Produce weekly prioritisation/snapshot report, monitoring capacity of resource and effectively manage stakeholders/clients’ expectation.
  • Produce the Clause Escalation quarterly metrics.
  • MIS Reporting for control forum/senior management.
  • Support ICM product cabinet group with testing and implementation.

Ownership of Business Initiatives and Global Relationships

  • Work on any projects impacting contracts (repapering, contract updates, contract reviews etc.) to plan and carry out details necessary to complete the project.
  • Supporting ad-hoc business and regulatory initiatives.
