As a member of our Infrastructure Development team, you and your team will be responsible for making sure an existing workflow application continues to remain stable and reliable whilst collectively working to re-platform much of the functionality. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to develop and deploy large scale infrastructure solutions that supports JPMC’s diverse and critical businesses. Over time you will use the latest technologies, data management and security practices in all aspects of software development. Critical thinking, clear communication and collaboration are key to successful product delivery.

This role is part of a DevOps team that build and operate applications to support the firms data centers. You will be working with a group of full-stack engineers and responsible for both implementation and the overall roadmap for key areas within the department. You’ll work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment – one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our customers, globally.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of Remedy BMC administration
  • Experience using large scale software development in one or more of these languages: Python, PERL, JAVA and JavaScript
  • Working proficiency in Incident/Problem/Change management process and procedures
  • Able to troubleshoot priority incidents and ensure permanent closure of incidents
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
  • Ability to host/participate in bridge calls and communicate effectively to large group of individuals at all levels.
  • Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals using Agile practices.
  • Understanding of Event Driven Architecture, leveraging technologies such as Kafka.
