A role is required to support the Third Party Brands trading team in delivering a world class online customer experience in line with the set commercial objectives and digital strategy. Managing the delivery of the customer experience across all channels including web, tablet, mobile and in-store ordering devices. This is an exciting role in a fast paced environment and a candidate with a high level of self-motivation and drive who is happy to manage multiple priorities and deliver to a high standard.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing department landing pages and key campaign and promotional events on site
  • Working with marketing to ensure aligned customer experience across all channels
  • Analyse sales performance of web metric tools and make recommended changes on site based on data analysis. Monitor and analyse key web analytics to improve the customer journey
  • Oversee M&S Chennai Site Merchandising team to deliver the customer journey and on-site experience to quality standards and timelines
  • Review site merchandising daily to ensure we are communicating the best customer experience to our customers across all devices
  • Support the Trading Manager in weekly performance probes and make recommendations to drive sales and conversion
  • Identify opportunities for customer journeys, products, and development
  • Identify daily and weekly trends in trade numbers and make recommendations
  • Support in ensuring all promotions including sale are correctly set up and executed
  • Collate and support information for lessons learnt/PIRs and run rate meetings

Skills & Experience

  • Passion for online, willingness and desire to learn new things with a can do attitude and a drive to do the right thing for the customer
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to prioritise workload, plan and to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work across larger teams and to work alone
  • Ability to analyse and report information
  • Competitor and commercial awareness and ability to perform competitor analysis
  • Understanding of trading, merchandising, and promotions
  • Ability to develop relationships with appropriate areas within M&S.com and the Business Units
  • Ability to work with agility on trading priorities
  • Understanding of natural search/SEO and other key marketing levers would be beneficial
  • Good level of Microsoft Office skills
