Job Description:

The Child Protection Team require individuals who are social work qualified, registered with Social Work England and have post-qualifying experience in social work. You must possess the relevant skills and have experience of risk assessment, decision making and multi-agency working to ensure the safeguarding and protection of children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This includes the assessment of risk and provision of tactical advise to both operational and intelligence teams.
  • The Child Protection Team require experienced social work managers to support the NCA in executing its safeguarding responsibilities to the highest possible standard.
  • The Child Protection Team primarily has two core functions –
  • Providing specialist skills that are essential to supporting safeguarding responses during operational activity and intelligence development.
  • The team also support the triage and response to the reports received daily from vulnerable children and young people, their parents and their carers.

  • ***All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum.
  • To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years.

Qualification & Experience:

  • They will be required to have oversight of complex operations to ensure that the NCA are able to execute its safeguarding responsibilities.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing social workers to undertake the above functions.
