We are looking for Holidays Operation Assistants to clean and prepare our stunning holiday cottages at Pont Pill, Triggabrowne and Lansallos near Polruan.

Hours: 10 hours per week. The changeover days will fall Monday to Saturday so flexibility is essential due to popular short breaks and late bookings. The changeover time will vary from 4 hours for a small cottage to 6 hours for a larger cottage. You would have the opportunity to work other, additional hours if you are able to do so.

Salary: £9.60 per hour

Duration: Permanent

Internally you will be known as ‘Holidays Operation Assistant’

You’ll join our team providing extra help with changeovers and holiday cover in a ‘Relief’ role. You’ll get to work across all 13 holiday cottages in the area so having a sense of adventure is ideal. It might be a stunning sea views one day and a beautiful countryside location the next. The start time would be typically 9.30 – 10 am. You’ll work on average 10 hours per week although some weeks will involve more hours and other weeks less depending on bookings, however you will always have a regular pay. Rotas are issued in advance, and we try to accommodate other commitments where possible. Flexible hours can be discussed at interview. As the cottages are remote you will require your own transport as public transport is limited.

What it’s like to work here

For our visitor’s and local team outdoor life at Pont Pill (PL23 1NQ) focusses on the quay which is perfect for wildlife spotting herons and kingfishers or setting up a crab line up from the footbridge. For those staying at Triggabrowne (PL23 1NP) it’s the gorgeous Cornish countryside that surrounds the cottages that makes their stay special along with the network of footpaths and of course Lantic Bay. Lansallos (PL132PU) has far reaching views at to sea, with a short stroll down to the secluded Lansallos beach. We also have a cottage within the grounds of the Lanhydrock Estate.

What you’ll be doing

On change-over days, you’ll make sure that everything’s clean and prepared for our guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well presented and welcoming for our guests. We’d also like you to keep an eye out and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing along with replacing any broken items from the store supplies. We will give you plenty of support and training and you’ll be very much part of a wider team.

Full Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) is provided for all teams and additional extensive measures in place to protect staff.
