Summary

We are looking for a Holiday Cottage Cleaner to prepare our stunning holiday cottages near Porthscatho, Veryan or Gorran at the heart of the stunning Roseland peninsula.

Hours: 10 hours per week. The changeover days will fall Monday to Saturday so flexibility is essential due to popular short breaks and late bookings. You would have the opportunity to work other, additional hours if you are able to do so.

Rotas are issued in advance, and we try to accommodate other commitments where possible.

Salary: £9.60 per hour

Duration: Permanent

Internally you will be known as ‘Holidays Operation Assistant’

You’ll join our team providing help with extra changeovers and holiday cover as a ‘Relief’ caretaker. You’ll get to work across all 20 holiday cottages in the area so having a sense of adventure is ideal. It might be a stunning sea views one day and a beautiful countryside location the next.

The start time would be typically be 9.30 to 10 am and the changeover time will vary from 4 to 6 hours depending on the size of the cottage. Rotas are issued in advance and we will try to accommodate other commitments. Flexible hours can be discussed at interview.

As the cottages are remote you will require your own transport as public transport is limited.

Our holiday cottages are popular all year round. Our visitors and local team love taking in the network of footpaths, creeks, cliffs, woodland and open countryside or relaxing on the beautiful beaches at Towan, Pendower and Hemmick.

What you’ll be doing

On change-over days, you’ll make sure that everything’s clean and prepared for our guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well presented and welcoming for our guests. We’d also like you to keep an eye out and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing along with replacing any broken items from the store supplies. We will give you plenty of support and training and you’ll be very much part of a wider team.

Full Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) is provided for all teams and additional extensive measures in place to protect staff.
