About the job
The role is interesting and rewarding – no two days are the same because no two cases are the same. Having said that, a typical day will involve responding to queries and requests for assistance from my allocated police forces, progressing cases that I’m working on (through open-source work, cross-match searches, advising and facilitating around forensics, and other lines of enquiry), updating Hermes, and working on longer-term projects. The office-based work is interspersed with deployments to police forces and attendance at the regional meetings.”
