Amazon Ad Server is one of the largest buy-side advertising platforms. It provides powerful solutions that enable creative and media to work together for optimal campaign performance across the entire customer journey.

Ad Server For Amazon operates its platform in more than 70 countries, with local offices in many countries providing award-winning service throughout the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, and connecting more than 20,000 advertisers and 3,600 agencies to audiences around the world.

We are responsible for end to end processing of billions of impressions, views, clicks and video interaction events in ads.

In this role you will have the freedom (and encouragement) to experiment, improve, invent, and innovate under the team domain – Data! You will be responsible for designing and Implementing features, creating monitoring to ensure system stability and analyzing data.

Key job responsibilities

As a Data Engineer you will be working in one of the world’s largest and most complex data-warehouse environments, using the latest set of toolsets.

You will be involved in architecture and design, coding, building and maintaining AWS infrastructure and operating a large complex data processing pipeline.

Although SQL is a strong requirement, being flexible enough to work in a scripting environment is a must.

In this role, you will be acting as a technical expert with significant scope and impact, working closely to software engineers, technical product managers and other stakeholders, to drive our team’s initiatives.

About The Team

Our team is based mainly in Israel, but we work in a 100% hybrid environment (combining work from home and the office). We have established ways of working remotely, and there are many onsite opportunities to collaborate and socialize.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Demonstrated strength in data modelling, ETL development, data storage principles and data warehousing/lakes (such as Redshift, Vertica, etc).
  • Hands-on experience and advanced knowledge of SQL and query performance tuning.
  • Proven experience in scripting mechanisms (Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Database design and administration experience with various RDBMS, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
  • Degree or equivalent in computer science / software engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of industry experience in data engineering, data science, business intelligence or related field.
  • Willingness to work with different technologies (to find the most suitable solution to every challenge)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with AWS big data technologies (Redshift, EC2, RDS, S3, Glue).
  • Industry experience in software development and solid Object-Oriented programming skills
  • Experience with Agile Scrum, continuous delivery and integration environments
  • Experience with DevOps, Operational Excellence & system monitoring.
