DESCRIPTION

The Strategic Security, Design and Operations Tools Development team builds and maintains the tools and services necessary to support International Amazon Dedicated Cloud teams and Global Expansion Intelligence teams.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who is excited about designing and building solutions to solve challenging problems to support critical customer requirements and develop expansion intelligence. In Amazon our challenges are broad and deep — we build flexible, secure, scalable, high-performance and robust tools and services. You will help implement, operate, and improve current services as well as build new features to improve the customer experience and make it easier/faster/cheaper for the customer to get what they need.

In Amazon, we obsess over our customers, and their trust is our first priority. Trust is earned by building a highly respected security service to tackle new challenges at a large scale. In this role, you will deliver high quality, scalable solutions to the challenges posed by supporting International ADCs and global Amazon expansion initiatives. You will collaborate with product owners and customers to deliver the best features, using resources and technologies efficiently. You will also help to engage other teams to onboard their services for data ingestion into the platform, aide in the tooling for analysis of the data, as well as transforming the data when needed to make it useful. You are detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities. The successful candidate is passionate about delivering extensible, on-time solutions and has experience working within a high-performance team.

This position involves on-call responsibilities. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.

We offer flexibility in working hours and encourage you to find your own balance between your work and personal lives.
