Would you like to be part of a team that is redefining product development, design engineering, manufacturing and the supply chain with AWS? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced candidate to work with our largest Global Systems Integrators (SIs) to evolve and optimize their Industry X.0 practices and service delivery on AWS.

As the Partner Development Manager – Industrial and Manufacturing , you will have the exciting opportunity to build and execute a comprehensive go-to-market with AWS’s largest GSI partner. The PDM will maintain a network of senior executive relationships to identify build and launch differentiated joint solutions and joint go-to-market initiatives across product development, design engineering, manufacturing and supply chain that will drive significant, new, and unique business opportunities for our GSI partners.

The ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, as well as a sales background that enables them to manage joint GTM efforts and to easily interact with enterprise customers and sales executives.

You should have a deep understanding of the manufacturing and industry X.0 landscape and dynamics, and a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, process, and technical challenges, as well as build and convey compelling business cases and value propositions. While business oriented, the position requires a strong technical acumen and familiarity with cloud services and technologies, especially those relevant to manufacturing and industrial processes such as Industrial IoT, PLM, computer vision and emerging industry trends like predictive maintenance and digital twin.

You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A track record of helping establish new business via focused incubation mechanisms and then broad partnerships is also important for this role.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with a GSI partners to define and execute, or refine existing joint sales and go to market (GTM) programs to ensure maximum customer relevance and success.
  • Work with a GSI partners to be a subject matter expert on industrial processes, manufacturing and supply chain and relentlessly evangelize key messages and new service features to all constituents/stakeholders within the GSIs
  • Engage, train, and standardize sales motions across the GSI’s field sales organization, channels and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS
  • Broker and oversee dialogs between assigned GSI partners and the AWS Service Teams to drive and maintain highly constructive working relationships

Up to 50% travel, post Covid-19 restrictions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of enabling large sales and/or partner teams
  • 5+ years Industry X.0 experience in product development, design engineering, manufacturing or supply chain with understanding of key concepts and technologies.
  • Experience developing GTM plans to drive outcomes with measurable results in partnership with SI/GSI partners.

  • Experience with sales enablement activities.
  • Business background to drive an engagement and interact at the executive level.
  • Ability to prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team.
  • Experience in working with customers – including negotiations, opportunity management and relationship building.
  • 5+ years of selling enterprise software or software-as-a-service
