Our team is focused on helping external partners better serve the needs of advertisers across Amazon through strategic engagements. As a Sr Partner Development Manager you will develop and grow relationships with external partners (creative tool providers and agencies) and their teams. Leveraging your partner knowledge and Amazon’s products, you will help partners grow by supporting advertisers evolving needs, coordinating with Amazon teams across product, marketing, sales and program management. Our group functions as a start-up within Amazon, and offers a creative, fast paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you’ll be at the center of Amazon innovation. You will have a direct impact on your customers by making it easy and efficient for these partners to help Amazon sellers advertise their products, increase sales and promote their brands through Amazon Advertising.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in online advertising managing strategic partnerships and has understanding of scaling innovation, a keen sense for a great customer experience and how to measure improvements against it. They should demonstrate an ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the skills to build and convey compelling value propositions by working cross-organizationally to build consensus. This role is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the future vision for the Amazon Ads business.

Key job responsibilities

Manage and grow relationships with existing portfolio of partners

Actively source new business to create a partner portfolio by researching, contacting and vetting partners.

Effectively manage C-level relationships

Capture Voice of Partner and quantify impact of feature requests to feed into product roadmap and influence prioritization of product development

Lead joint business planning and strategy with external and internal partners

Organize and lead Business Reviews with external partners

Identify opportunities to enable business development and engage with marketing teams to execute on these opportunities

Influence partners to adopt critical and valuable advertising features

Work with technical account management, sales, development, and product teams to identify and solve issues blocking advertiser performance

Develop and execute initiative that will drive scale for the creative and brand experience partner program

A day in the life

An average day, will include combination of external activities (~60% of time), connecting with C-level points of contact at the partner to discuss new opportunities and understand progress with previously released initiatives, and internal activities (~40% of the time) connecting with internal product managers, marketing on enablement activities and diving into data to understand partner progress.

We also have recently segmented our books of business, in order to improve partner support, allow for increased Partner Development Manager ownership of specific segments and accelerate identification of new opportunities. Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree Demonstrated experience and success leading impactful, cross-functional projects
  • Strong experience in Online advertising Strategic Partnership
  • Management experience Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions – Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Experience in bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant product management/relationship management work experience in the online industry
  • Experience in creative services
  • Experience with performance and display advertising
