We are seeking Graduate Analysts to join our available roles in the following teams: Supply Chain, Network Planning, Transportation, Logistics and Finance.

About The Role

During our day-to-day operations, tons of data is generated which is leveraged to make our important business decisions.

As a Graduate Analyst you will be analyzing and driving improvements to make sure the organization is fit for the future. You will do so by developing queries, macros and tools to support your day-to-day function alongside diving deep into the problems you encounter. You will work with key stakeholders to ensure that decisions are made and actioned which will allow our operations to run as efficiently as possible. You will challenge the unknown and try to drive improvement into key areas of our business.

A successful candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, is comfortable accessing and working with big data from multiple sources, and passionately partners with the business to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results. They should have an internal drive to answer “why?” questions, excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, as well as superior written and verbal communication skills. They would be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in a dynamic and international environment.

Recruitment Process

After your application the first stage is an online video interview. After this, if successful, you will move through to the final stage, which is a panel interview with Amazonians. If necessary you may also have to complete a language test.

  • Please note this is a Graduate role.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collecting, analyzing and coordinating quantitative data and creating meaningful reports/dashboards to define business improvement and cost reductions
  • Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data, then assisting the business improve and creating new measures
  • Recommending, developing, and implementing policies, processes and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its current position and profitability
  • Establishing and maintaining accurate operating and business metrics
  • Providing and communicating reporting and analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Developing the right performance indicators and maintaining them at scale
  • Working with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
  • Handling complex priorities and providing level-headed guidance during ambiguous/unexpected events.

Basic Qualifications

  • Recent graduate from a degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar discipline
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e. macros, pivots, lookups, VBA)
  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL or any other programming language
  • Understanding and previous use of large-scale reporting/visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience making recommendations and decisions based on complex analyses and data
  • Measured demonstration of problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented and professional business sense; proven ability to develop new ideas, creative solutions and demonstrated experience implementing such mechanisms to result
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a progressive, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.

** This is a full time (40 hours) and permanent position, therefore you must have the right to work in the UK by the start date **

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of project management, handling multiple priorities, and working with varied stakeholders
  • Passion and interest in manufacturing, distribution center or logistics processes and systems a plus
  • Previous work experience – a summer job, internship; if it’s an experience in a related field or business, even better
