Our UK/Ireland Customer Service HR team is seeking a dynamic Sr. HR Business Partner who has the ability to lead by example, demonstrate hustle, resolve issues at multiple levels, and act strategically with the utmost integrity. Our mission is to take good care of our internal customers (our employees), so they can take good care of our Amazon customers!

Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate

This role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. This is a 1-year contract for a maternity cover.

  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company
  • The ability to review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience
  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the “pulse” of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
  • Coaching and mentoring at management level
  • Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs
  • Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment

About The Team

When you join the Customer Service People eXperience and Technology (CS PXT) team, you’ll be part of an engaging team of human resources professionals who collectively support the Worldwide Amazon Customer Service organization. Here, you’ll work with global leaders to optimize people strategy and the employee experience, leverage science and technology to grow internal capabilities and scale our business in a fair, responsible way, and engage employees to create fun, diverse, and inclusive teams. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field
  • Significant HR experience within an international, fast-paced and customer driven environment,
  • Strong ability to prioritise and to meet your deadlines,
  • In-depth knowledge of UK/Ireland labour laws
  • Demonstrable ability to positively persuade and influence: you’re a skilled negotiator
  • Proven affinity for working in large scale workforce management: able to provide meaningful, educational counselling
  • You bring the ability to step back and look at long term vision, for departmental growth
  • You’re generous with your intellectual curiosity: you bring insight to the team from outside the company and further afield
  • You’re also resourceful, and comfortable with occasional ambiguity regarding projects and tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified
  • Experience in call center, distribution center, or manufacturing environments
  • Able to operate independently with minimal oversight in a remote cross-border reporting setting, in a fast-paced, frugal environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.
