This role can be located anywhere in EU/UK near an Amazon Logistics (AMZL) delivery station or corporate office.

AMZL delivery operations is on pace to become one of the largest parcel carriers in the world. It is a robust process that fully leverages delivery station and driver capacities which are critical to accomplishing scale while delivering a world class customer experience.

The AMZL EU ACES team is responsible for standardizing and delivering on process improvements for our delivery operations. This role will assist in analyzing current performance and help build out for the future. This role will support in influencing business-critical decisions that enable scale and deliver consistent, industry leading performance within our AMZL Operations and raise the bar on customer experience while lowering costs and supporting our growth.

As a process improvement specialist within the ACES team, you will be focused on the Hub DP Team and play a key role in the development of key business metrics, reports and insights using data visualization, as required. You will be expected to be skilled in understanding customer needs, converting them to analysis requirements, having working knowledge of data availability in various sources, building stakeholder confidence through effective communication and recommendations, working in close collaboration with various support teams and AMZL operators to set the best path forward.

To be successful in this role you will need to be analytical, able to translate business problems into scalable and tangible process improvements and an influencer capable of working effectively with senior leadership across multiple organizations and geographies. You will also need to be a self-starter, communicator and problem solver. You will work with cross-functional teams on complex logistics problems, deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customer.

Key job responsibilities

  • Interfacing with business and finance customers to gather and present data; write or contribute to business cases.
  • Partner with operations/business teams to consult, develop and implement KPI’s, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
  • Enabling effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Analyzing and solving business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities.
  • Designing new metrics and enhance existing metrics to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability.
  • Communicating complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform deep-dives and root cause analysis to answer business questions.
  • Piloting new alternative on road delivery method in new EU Countries, defining E2E Operations flow and overall Business Model
  • Support in-country teams with the mechanisms required to scale up Alternative Modes of Transportation all across Europe
  • Maintain project schedule that enables the teams to be successful based upon the project milestones and Go-Live

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering/Business/Economics or any similar discipline with a clear analytical focus
  • Prior experience working in an analytical and program role with proven experience of providing recommendations for strategic decision-making
  • Exposure to data mining tools like SQL, Excel etc
  • Experience of complex operational, process, and performance improvement projects
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle – analysis and design as well as implementation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at an executive level that enable you to explain complex

insights with clarity and precision

  • Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years in data analysis and/or program experience
  • Experience with advanced analytical tools (i.e. Quicksight, Tableau)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and work with the highest level of accuracy
  • Initiative to develop tools, data collection processes, and data management systems
