The Amazon Web Services partner sales team is looking for a Program Management Office (PMO) ISV Partner Sales to design and oversee the governance of our most strategic programs with our ISV’s (Independent Software Vendors) in EMEA within the ISV Partner Sales Organization.

As a PMO for ISVs in EMEA you will define and develop the program, vision, blueprint and manage executive stakeholders, assess and mitigate risks and issues, administer and monitor/report status of each project ensuring that timelines are met and all stakeholders adhere to our high standards for operational excellence. You will work with cross-functional AWS teams and ISV partners and will play a key role in the success of multi-year plans with our most strategic ISV partners, evolving how AWS works with them in the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen, proven ability to strategize and implement high-level and high-impact program initiatives with large partners across multiple countries, strong leadership and communication skills, well organized, be able to think in new and creative ways, engage with business executives, work effectively across diverse and widespread teams to define, execute and manage an industry leading co-selling program for AWS ISV partners. As a natural born leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.

Your broad responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, helping to define and execute against multi-year ISV Partner sales plans, establishing business and technical relationships, managing the day-to-day interactions with these organizations in order to build long-term value for AWS customers and partners.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design, develop and execute the governance of our most strategic programs with our ISV’s in EMEA.
  • Define and develop the vision and blueprint, manage executive stakeholders, assess and mitigate risks and issues, administer and monitor/report status of each project ensuring that timelines are met and all stakeholders adhere to our high standards for operational excellence.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, services and deliverables.
  • Become a trusted member of the Partner and Sales organizations in EMEA to drive execution of our most strategic Partner Programs in EMEA.
  • Work closely with cross-functional AWS and ISV partner Sales (ISM), Partner Development and Partner Solution Architect teams to ensure that they deliver on quality and on time according to each ISV Partner Sales Plan
  • Project management, including setting deadlines, milestone management, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
  • Update and maintain the Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register
  • Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting AWS standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates, risks and issues to the EMEA AWS Sales, Partner sales and ISVs Executives

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree
  • 10+ years of relevant Project, Program or PMO experience
  • Proven track record for planning, executing, controlling projects plus the ability to manage a program and its components simultaneously with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or PHD degree
  • Relevant project management accreditation e.g. PMP, Prince2.
  • Prior experience working in Consulting or in a technology company
  • Line management or team leadership experience
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies and programs such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC and Change Management.
  • Strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity and organizational complexity
  • Proven experience in presenting and influencing senior leadership up to VP level
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders to drive change, manage risk and resolve conflict
  • Translate large amounts of data into meaningful insights and draw conclusions
  • Strong leadership skills
