We are looking for a talented Associate Corporate Counsel to support our growing books (physical and digital), digital media (Alexa, apps) and devices (Kindle e-readers, tablets, Fire TV, Echo) businesses.

Key job responsibilities

You will be responsible for advising the books, digital and devices businesses on a broad range of UK and EU commercial and regulatory matters, and structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions. You will provide day-to-day advice in a wide range of legal areas, including copyright, IP/IT, digital media, privacy, e-commerce and regulatory compliance, particularly in light of the post-Brexit divergence of UK and EU legal and regulatory regimes. You will also be tasked with driving simplifications within the Legal team and across established and growth-phase businesses, enabling them to scale.

About The Team

Based in our London office, you will be part of the UK legal team, and work with a broader EU legal team that supports the books, digital and devices businesses across the EU. Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Qualified UK lawyer with an excellent academic record.
  • At least two years at a highly regarded international law firm, ideally with experience supporting digital media, content, electronic devices, e-commerce, consumer product or retail businesses.
