Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a leader to oversee daily operations of complex and high-volume EMEA and APAC immigration services programs. This high-judgment people leader role will be accountable for all aspects of the daily operations of multiple large-scale projects, including managing and developing a team of professionals, and managing processes and initiatives across all or part of the immigration program. Reporting to the Senior Manager EMEA and APAC, this role will drive delivery of all targeted business plan metrics across productivity, quality, cost, compliance and people. The leader will create and build upon operational plans, drive a mindset and culture of continuous improvement, and sustain a culture of learning and development. At an individual level this leader will contribute to critical initiatives, tackling complex problems that affect customers and work to resolve them with innovative solutions.

With Amazon’s scale comes the need for a supply chain mindset to create mechanisms that inspect work across the program. This leader will create quality and compliance audits; develop and inspect operational metrics and take data drive decisions; and overall ensure immigration programs has the right processes, technology tools and automation to allow it to scale as the volume grows.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive insourcing; the formation of internal immigration production teams that replace and/or supplement third party vendor services
  • Create and build upon operational plans, drive a mindset and culture of continuous improvement
  • Set strategy across work streams, including contact management strategy, content strategy, case filing strategies, service offerings, strategies to close compliance gaps
  • Create tracking and compliance mechanisms and other dashboards that measure overall health of the program
  • Review and audit existing processes to ensure ongoing compliance and work with the process team to update processes when new policies or regulations are announced
  • Continually identify areas of redundancy or non-value add to ensure process, procedure, and staffing optimization
  • Develop and lead a team of high performing specialists and associates
  • Create, develop and maintain a pipeline of candidates for the team, internally or externally, to minimize lead time when hiring

About The Team

The immigration team at Amazon is a group of project managers, analysts, and experienced immigration subject matter experts who act as strategic partners and consultants to business leaders and partner support teams. The team centrally manages global immigration filings and the vendors that support Amazon, and delivers projects to improve cost, quality, policy, compliance, and experience for immigration services at Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field such as business management or HR (extensive, directly relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)
  • Extensive experience in hiring and developing a team of high performing professionals
  • Track record in managing large scale programs
  • Business analysis acumen, with substantive experience measuring the success of a complex business process and proposing new business opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Operational support and passion, with experience in establishing, measuring, and meeting service level agreements, improving the availability, performance, and quality of systems, and managing complex on-the-fly operational problems.
  • Has a track record of communicating worldwide with executives and non-technical leaders, experience with multi-national companies, and dealing with customers across the world.
  • Outstanding attention to detail; Exceptional problem solving & analytical skills.
  • MBA or six sigma certification is preferred.
