This role can be located at one of our Amazon offices in UK, Germany, France, Italy or Spain

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to drive scaled marketing campaigns and programs to activate and engage with EU advertisers on Sponsored Ads. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing marketing strategies and campaigns for EU selling partners across channels. You will deep dive into advertisers’ business priorities and pain points, and develop scaled yet customized advertising solutions. This role has end-to-end ownership of campaigns from strategy to execution.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong passion for data and customer insights and will leverage it to develop marketing programs and strategies that are innovative and achieve business goals. You operate from a customer-first perspective to understand pain points & gaps and identify opportunities. To be successful you’ll need to be a strong communicator who can earn trust with key stakeholders across multiple teams. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and are willing to work autonomously, handling multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritizing accordingly to contribute to ambitious growth plans. Key job responsibilities

  • Own highly visible demand generation focused marketing campaigns for EU advertisers— from gathering of requirements, design and development, to testing, launch, and reporting
  • Develop a yearly/ quarterly roadmap for key marketing activities and align with key stakeholders
  • Research and develop an iterative testing strategy to gain insights and continuously improve the customer experience through optimized messaging and targeting
  • Create on-brand, best in class content, tailored to appropriate customers by partnering with our Content marketing team and effectively build related marketing campaigns
  • Drive and own strategy cross channels such as Webinars, In-UI portals, Emails, Advertising page
  • Work with worldwide marketing managers, content creators, designers, program managers, and business leadership to align initiatives with cross-functional team goals
  • Analyze, report on, and optimize against key performance metrics

About The Team

Amazon Ads operates at the intersection of ecommerce and Ads, offering a rich array of digital Ads solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy. A strategically important part of our charter is to drive adoption across a portfolio of self-service, cost per click Ads products to enable head to tail advertisers to engage with customers in relevant ways. Our team is tasked with making it easy for our selling partners to advertise their products, thereby increasing the visibility of their products, which also helps Amazon customers discover more selection—a win-win!

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or other related area
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • 4+ years of professional marketing experience
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Analytical skills in Microsoft excel to review, manipulate and analyse data. Proficient in MS Office: Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment where not all processes and procedures are clearly defined. Agility to change directions quickly as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous advertising or retail experience with respect to programs and processes
  • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done
  • Advanced SQL knowledge
  • Experience using 3P email platforms (such as Marketo/ Optimo) and editing HTML
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
  • Strong drive for results, with the ability to manage independently and take calculated risks
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Experience with A/B testing, especially around audience segmentation and targeting
  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
