Amazon Payment Products creates and manages a global portfolio of products including Amazon and partner-branded payment services such as co-branded credit cards (e.g. Amazon.de VISA Karte), third-party credit cards, financial services marketplaces, instalment financing, Gift Cards, and Amazon Stored Value. We are continuously adding new market-leading features, product innovations and partner products to our portfolio. Amazon is seeking a Senior Channel Marketing Manager (m/f/d) to manage the full lifecycle of the MAPLE channel across EU Amazon Payment Products. MAPLE (Marketing Automation Program and Learning Engine) is a machine learning recommendation engine built to support Amazon’s Payment Products. The MAPLE team’s mission is to recommend the right payments content to the right customer with the right CX offering personalized content and affordability messaging.

You will be responsible for developing and structuring the MAPLE channel marketing strategy, analysing data and running tests to identify key trends, defining customer segmentation and targeting approach as well as influencing local marketing teams, international product teams on initiatives to support channel performance and improve traffic, conversion and customer experience.

The role will work closely with in-country marketing teams, and international Product and Tech teams. As the ideal candidate, you are an effective leader and communicator to work with key stakeholders across multiple internal teams. You have a innate drive to improve things and are able to influence multiple teams to align on forward looking strategy. In this role you are expected to think strategically (generating bold and innovative ideas) and execute flawlessly (launching and optimizing channel tests, analysing traffic data and solving problems). You bring enthusiasm for the payment experience and creativity to challenge our way of thinking. You are an experienced Product or Marketing Manager, and you are a storyteller who can position our product and features to our broad customer base. This role offers a great opportunity to work on marketing topics across the breadth of the Amazon business providing a strong platform for future career development. This role is also a great role to work closer with product teams and machine learning teams.

This role can be based in Amazon’s office in Munich (Germany) or London (UK), Milan (IT), Madrid (ES), Paris (FR).

Key job responsibilities

  • Define measurement requirements and recommend strategies to scale MAPLE channel across EU Payment Procuts.
  • Own and manage EU Payment Products marketing MAPLE roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities across Payment Products, define use cases and marketing objectives.
  • Effectively influence MAPLE and business marketing teams to prioritize shared goals.
  • Understand, measure and evaluate how initiatives impact customer experience and business outcome.
  • Define control mechanisms and processes to simplify MAPLE marketing within product marketing teams and hold partner teams accountable for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the customer experience for EU Payment Products MAPLE use cases.
  • Analyse shopping behaviours and customer needs, using this data to identify business opportunities and prioritize investment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, liberal arts, marketing, computer science, mathematics, statistics, accounting.
  • Several years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
  • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills to build the trust required to drive cross-functional projects.
  • Extensive experience in marketing or project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail ability to execute methodically.
  • Confidence operating independently and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Able to work in a diverse team
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree /MBA (or equivalent)
  • German, Spanish or French is a plus
  • Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving and issue-resolution.
  • Strong Excel skills, with experience in demand forecasting and marketing ROI analysis.
  • Experience communicating with stakeholders across multiple business units and senior management
  • Past experience with digital technologies, payment products, consumer goods, media or e-commerce
  • Experience with online merchandising and Content-Management-System tools (XML skills)
  • Working experience in an international environment
