Imagine working in one of the fastest growing businesses at Amazon, working with marketing, tech and product teams across locales to drive key marketing initiatives? We are looking for a hands-on and customer-obsessed seasoned marketing professional to help define marketing strategies and deploy marketing initiatives for our co-branded business credit cards.

The marketing manager will define marketing strategies, drive product awareness, support member acquisition, and manage on-going customer engagement end-to-end. You will be a creative problem solver, detail driven and will work methodically to effectively identify opportunities to add value and measure the changes implemented.

This role is in a team that is playing a big part in the growth of Amazon Business and Business Payments, an area of growing focus both internally and externally. Over 5 million businesses now utilize international procurement services from Amazon Business, and the small business credit card is a key part of the plans to increase members and spend in the UK.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to define B2B marketing strategies from scratch that you implement, focused on email and onsite marketing but also working with our partner American Express on wider comms. This is a high-impact role at a critical stage of our growth and the marketer will have opportunities to regularly present the strategies, program updates, results, and learning to the worldwide leadership teams. The high growth expected for the business and the variety of Amazon systems and tools that this role will operate in and navigate through will in turn provide career growth opportunities for the marketer as well.

We are looking for a marketer who has a passion for test and learn and ownership that they combine with marketing and product management skills. Key job responsibilities

  • Develop customer engagement roadmaps and manage end to end
  • Analyse performance of site content and marketing channels, seeking ways to improve on both acquisition and engagement metrics
  • Create on-brand, best in class content, tailored to appropriate customers with a high attention to detail
  • Work with in-house design, marketing operations and testing teams
  • Use onsite tools and reports to understand customer behaviour and improve the customer experience accordingly
  • Collaborate with external and internal partners cross businesses and functions to deliver results
  • Manage a continuous, meticulously planned and documented marketing plan to improve performance of key email and checkout channels
  • Take UK learnings and apply to other European locales as the role expands

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent bias for action and ability to multitask
  • Several years of online marketing experience or equivalent B2B or B2C marketing experience
  • Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to measure the performance of online efforts, drive improvements and innovations, and to support project requests from partner teams
  • Proven success in dealing with ambiguous situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct marketing experience in financial services or retail
  • Relevant B2B marketing experience
  • Understanding of both online and offline marketing strategy development and data-driven channel execution
  • Proven experience managing large amounts of data, including customer segments and online campaign metrics
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Proficient with a varied set of software and editing tools (including HTML, XML, basic to intermediate Excel, and image editing software)
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Languages preferred (French, German, Italian)
