Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Marketing Manager to support the development and execution of marketing and content programs for Amazon Gift Cards in Germany (DE). The role is focused on the Amazon Top Up product, which enables customers to simplify their checkout experience, see how much they are spending, and set aside small amounts to plan for a larger purchase on Amazon.de.

Amazon seeks an individual who is data-driven, motivated by delivering results, able to work with a high degree of autonomy, and able to manage multiple competing deadlines. The successful candidate will need to prioritize effectively and adapt to a changing business environment while working collaboratively across various functional teams, regions, and levels of seniority.

Key job responsibilities

  • Owning the online presence and strategy for the DE Top Up business, including planning, business analysis, forecasting, and driver analysis of marketing strategy and campaigns.
  • Generating recommendations to refine product positioning and marketing strategy through A/B testing and building business cases where investment is required.
  • Collaborating across partner teams to secure incremental visibility for DE Top Up, ensuring that merchandizing placements are relevant, engaging, and focused on the customer’s experience.
  • Helping develop data-driven engagement programs that identify new customer segments and use-cases for Top Up.
  • Leading team-relevant EU-wide initiatives and projects – for example relating to automation and strategic traffic channels.

A day in the life

A typical day in this role may include brainstorming new marketing test ideas, generating insights from customer behavior, creating marketing placements based on your learnings, and sharing best practice with your peers and partner teams.

You can also expect a number of projects on top of this which will involve research and implementation of new marketing channels, segments, and reporting mechanisms.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, economics, business, and/or relevant field of study
  • Several years of marketing experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and similar tools to analyze data
  • Ability to build and execute marketing strategy across multiple channels
  • Ability to present ideas to senior levels of an organization and gain support for initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Ability to manage time and competing priorities across a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and German

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with on-site marketing, lifecycle marketing, and digital advertising
  • Experience working with marketing tools including e-mail, web analytics, CRM, and marketing automation platforms
  • Experience with A/B or multivariate testing
