DESCRIPTION

Amazon Sea seeks a Program Manager that combines a passion for problem solving, analytical thinking, strategic planning, and stakeholder collaboration to build the long-term outlook for the business, delivering added value to our customers.

This Program Manager will be responsible for structuring business plans and ensuring progress on Amazon Sea’s waterborne business vision in EMEA. Role will include working with key internal stakeholders, maritime market players to expand Amazon’s short sea footprint and introduce strategic transformations. Working with a large set of stakeholders while keeping an eye for details, this person should be an articulate leader, a firm communicator, a business transformation expert, and should possess excellent written/verbal communication skills to influence positive outcomes for Amazon’s customers.

  • Leading business reviews with senior-level executives
  • Partnering with finance, maritime/commercial, legal and network teams to shape future growth plans and guide business trajectory.

A day in the life

  • Collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders and market to ideate strategic plans for the business
  • Set business goals and targets and ensure BI, data and performance tracking is setup to track and monitor progress.
  • Secure prioritization and resource buy-in from teams across Amazon and ensure alignment with senior leadership.
  • Representing the business in various forums to ensure alignment of plans and interdependencies across cross-functional teams.
  • Drive improvements in long-term planning processes.

About The Team

Amazon Sea’s EU team is developing a thesis, leveraging waterborne transportation to drive delivery speed, cost, capacity, and carbon benefits.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an analytical field.
  • Several years of experience in strategy, consulting, business planning, and program management.
  • Drive short and long-term business proposal autonomously.
  • Experience in independently driving analysis and present relevant insights and recommendations.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree / MBA in Strategy, Consulting, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Maritime transportation.
  • Experience in strategy consulting with a focus on logistics (maritime) or multi-modal transportation industry or sustainable mobility.
