Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

Amazon is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development for Europe to manage our consumer subscriptions business through large-scale strategic partnerships.

In particular, this role will focus on leading complex new business development across Europe to build a channel for distribution of Amazon services through mobile operators and media companies. Amazon service expansion through similar partnerships in EMEA spans the consumer eco-system, including shopping, video, music, reading, and other services TBD. There will be a particular focus on Prime and Prime Video partnerships.

Managing this exciting and fast-growing portion of the Amazon business will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to fulfill the Amazon motto to “Work Hard, have Fun, and make History.”

As the Senior Manager, Business Development for EU your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Working with internal stakeholder businesses to agree and execute a strategy for country specific business development opportunities for Telecom, Media distribution companies and other segments.
  • Lead all partner activity to source and negotiate complex partnership agreements, from first contact through to signed contracts in agreed geographies and segments.
  • Lead all internal approvals and due diligence including document writing to ensure deals meet the needs of all stakeholders and are approved by the business.
  • Coordinate with peripheral Amazon business development teams to leverage established relationships, present a unified vision to our partners in EU and close partnerships that add significant value to the business.

Basic Qualifications

Strong, extensive experience leading end to end, complex, time sensitive strategic BD negotiations in a media, telco or other relevant environment.

Strong experience managing business development at all stages of the funnel; creation/identification of opportunity, term sheet, contracts, closure and launch.

Strong communication, persuasion and advocacy skills.

Ability to think, analyze, and react in a high energy, fast paced environment.

Proven business judgement and influencing skills.

Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines.

A clear and concise communicator and writer.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep experience of working on complex entertainment distribution deals in the media / telco / other relevant sector.

Solid understanding of the entertainment marketplace and a passion for content.

MBA from a top tier programme.

Strong track record of building and maintaining a network of relationships to help navigate complex situations and foster long term opportunities.

Strong proven ability to deal with ambiguity.

Strong business judgement.

Passion for big challenges, adaptable and a desire to continuously learn and grow.
