This opportunity will allow you to build and execute HR strategy across the middle mile nodes (MMN/Sort Centers) in UK to deliver an engaging experience for our associates, an innovative staffing model for our business and commitment to customer promise. You will be the UK HR head leading a a team of HRMs and HRBPs who you will train, develop and grow into strong business consultation partners and relentless associate advocates. You will be a strong operational business partner who fully understands all aspects of their customer group in the UK in addition to leading and delivering on Sort Center HR projects and programs. Working closely with your business and stakeholder partner teams, you’ll be a driving force behind development, coaching, and succession planning for future growth.

You will be able to work independently, with high skill and integrity; taking a hands-on approach interfacing with employees, managers and business leaders at all levels. You will proactively identify people and process related opportunities that have positive environmental and business impact and then working with customers & partners, to create solutions.

You will lead the growing UK Sort Center HR network and ensure that Amazon is a great place to work while working backwards from the customer to ensure all sites are staffed with the right people, who are engaged in the business. You will develop talent in the operations and HR business lines to produce the next pipeline of Senior Leaders for Sort Centers and ATS. One of the most important, value-added aspects of your role will be acting as a consultant, or, as a bridge between Management and frontline team members and project stakeholders. You will be an innovator and a builder- developing HR processes and programs to impact not just the Sort Centers across the UK but the whole of the growing EU SC Network.

With Your Overall Mission In Mind

  • You’ll bring your world-class people leader and evaluative, problem-solving skills to the table, including coaching, developing, proactive gathering of data from appropriate sources, in-depth root cause analysis, consistent reference to long-term plans and goals followed by decisive and confident action.
  • You’ll develop and maintain a healthy relationship with ER contacts and drive the implementation of Associate Forums.
  • You’ll coach and mentor leaders across EU countries for ATS client teams
  • You’ll maintain an emphasis on continuous improvement and best practices, to be shared with other ATS and partner teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field
  • Significant HR experience within an international, fast-paced and customer driven environment
  • Significant experience in UK employee relations management
  • Proven experience and expertise in Program and Project management
  • Fluent command of English – both verbal and written
  • Proven affinity for working in large scale workforce management: able to provide meaningful, educational consultation to managers and partner teams
  • Proven history of implementing a long-term vision, for departmental growth
  • Good understanding of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel) and HR information systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) would be advantageous.
