Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a world class partner leader to drive telecom (“telco”) transformation initiatives with strategic telco partners who are “Independent Software Vendors” (ISVs). As a Partner Development Manager, you will accelerate adoption of AWS cloud services with telco ISV solutions.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities include building and driving executive relationships with telco partner organizations and within AWS; creating long-term vision and strategic plans to support partner journeys with cloud businesses for their customers; establishing strategic agreements to execute on joint plans, to drive top line revenue growth with application modernization on AWS and global joint go-to-market (JGTM) motions; and driving the execution of those plans.

A day in the life

You will work with AWS telco partners to build, transform, and grow their telco lines of business by engaging with executive leaders, driving partner engagement with AWS (governance, workshops, training & certification, etc.), and leading transformational business outcomes that include new and optimized solutions on AWS, new business models (e.g. SaaS, AWS Marketplace as a channel), and transformation of telco businesses on AWS.

About The Team

AWS’s Telco ISV Management team supports AWS’s reinventing of 5G and other telco services through Networks Cloudified, Operations Simplified, Customer Experience reImagined, and Growth Unlocked. We need a Think Big leader who raises the bar of an already strong telco team, bringing unique industry knowledge, experience, and creativity. We Strive to be Earth’s Best Employer, looking for new teammates who are Amazonian rather than fitting a mold, training for skill because success takes many paths. Diversity raises our bar for Dive Deep analysis and teamwork. If you have passion to join us to reinvent telco and 5G on AWS, let’s talk.

Basic Qualifications

You will have a demonstrated ability to create market-making telco successes; think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges; and build and convey compelling value propositions. The position requires strong telco acumen and familiarity with cloud services. All of this normally comes from 10+ years in the telco industry. Academic training in engineering and/or business is highly desirable, including M. Eng or MBA. A track record of successful telco transformation, establishment and execution of long-term strategies, and ability to guide telco executives and businesses through evolution are all key skills.

Preferred Qualifications

You will combine depth and breadth in telco solutions, 5G, and evolution on cloud, with the strategic and business background to engage from executives to working level, driving JGTM solutions and motions, and to easily interact with telco customers and sales executives. Background in infrastructure and GTM for SaaS applications is a plus.
