DESCRIPTION

We are the EThOS (European TecHnical Operations Solutions) team and we are looking for a senior software engineer to join us on our mission to: optimize, simplify and streamline the management and expansion one of the most advanced, large, complex and ever-growing fulfillment networks in the world.

We do so by building tech solutions that vary from internal websites, low latency applications that run on devices and workstations in our Fulfillment Centers, IoT systems and optimization models.

Customer Fulfillment is a broad domain and our organization has a good degree of freedom regarding which projects to implement and the technologies to use.

In this team you will be able to work on brand new products, using the latest cloud technologies. We also partner with other global tech teams and work autonomously on their systems to improve existing capabilities or create new ones.

Exposure to both kind of projects will allow you to have an impact on how we delight our customers from click to delivery, while learning Amazon’s engineering best practices.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the end to end design of projects
• Work with product to refine the vision and influence tech roamdap.
• Lead the effort of development and delivery with other SDEs.
• Work in a team of creative, smart and hardworking people from around the world and varied backgrounds
• Use cool technologies such as CDK, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, Fargate, Kinesis, Step Functions, etc…

Basic Qualifications

• A Bachelor degree or above in computer science/engineering
• 6+ years as a Software Development Engineer
• 2+ years of experience leading architecture and design
• Strong coding skills (Java/Python/Javascript/Typescript)
• Experience leading other SDEs through ambiguity in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS
• Ability to collaborate with multiple external dependent teams to design complex solutions
• Experience taking a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
