Amazon Studios is the movies and television development and production arm of Amazon. It is our role to produce original content and license studio programs worldwide in exclusive service of Amazon’s Prime Video customers. We are looking for a Talent Manager to support Amazon Studios’ Local Originals in the UK. In this role, you will act as the central cross-functional liaison amongst key internal stakeholder teams (e.g., Production, Marketing, PR, Awards, etc.), shepherding local on-screen (e.g., actors) and off-screen (e.g., writers, directors, producers, etc.) talent, throughout the lifecycle of a project (and beyond) at Amazon. You will support the development and execution on the process and framework for servicing local talent in the UK, with a focus on managing efficient workflows and being able to socialise, absorb, organise, and proactively address feedback from both talent and internal cross-functional stakeholders to drive the best talent experience. You will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and support multiple talents across multiple projects at one time.

You will also have a senior role in overseeing a major Amazon UK Original franchise.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of UK Originals and the creative executives to support the talent experience at Amazon throughout the lifecycle of a project.
  • Collaborate accordingly with partner teams, for example Casting, Marketing, PR and Production who work daily with on- (e.g., actors) and off-screen (e.g., writers, directors, producers, etc.) creators.
  • Balance effectively supporting talent’s needs and feedback with delivering Amazon’s near and long-term creative and business objectives.
  • Work closely with Creative Development and Business Affairs to track and support partnerships with local talent.
  • Help talent navigate Amazon flywheel opportunities across other Amazon business units (e.g., Retail, Fashion, Alexa, Audible, Podcasts, Music) to maximise talent relationships.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs
  • Experience working as a producer, creative executive, or a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in marketing, film/television, communication, or related field.
  • Experience of working closely with creative talent as a producer or commissioner or agent or manager or awards/PR/casting executive.
  • Strong understanding of the UK creative talent pool and trends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the UK TV and digital video landscape.
  • Strong ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations.
  • Excellent business judgement.
  • Broad network of writers, producers, and artists in the UK.
