Lead ServiceNow Architect

This position is a mid-management role with Asda Technology ServiceNow team. Responsible for the end-to-end ServiceNow Platform Architecture and Support functions for the ASDA businesses. The role supports Asda’s ServiceNow Platform strategy and the delivery of our ServiceNow Capabilities (Technology, Customer and Employee Workflows). Leads the technical team of Platform Administrators and Architecture including in-house and outsourced staff.

Your Role

• Responsible for ServiceNow Technical Teams including contractors and suppliers.
• Work with stakeholders to meet Asda’s business objectives by utilising ServiceNow as Asda’s Strategic Platform.
• Owns and evangelizes Asda’s ServiceNow Golden Rules and MVP Policies (Integration Polices, Data Governance Policies, Configuration Policies, Instance Mgmt., Customization Polices and Platform Mgmt. & Development Polices).
• Defines, guides, and lead the execution of your technical governance processes.
• Creates and manages key platform documentation artefacts to stakeholders and key people
• Owns, reviews and approves technical solutions and collaborates with Asda’s Architecture teams to get ServiceNow TDAs aligned with Asda Architecture Framework.
• Direct quality standards across the ServiceNow platform teams.

About You

• The role requires deep and comprehensive knowledge of ServiceNow Architecture, along with people manager experience, leading architecture and support functions in delivering against functional objectives
• Requiring you to build and maintain an extensive network of peers and contacts including at ServiceNow Steering board.
• You will comfortably challenge, confront and solve difficult situations whilst maintaining solid internal and external connections.
• influencing and negotiating at the highest levels across the business and with third party suppliers.
• You will achieve results through inspiring and motivating your team(s) to take action and deliver against the strategy
• Strong ServiceNow experience within large global environments (development, architecture, implementation, platform administration).
• Strong ServiceNow leadership experience.

Certifications: TOGAF, ServiceNow Certifications (CSA – ServiceNow Administrator, CIS – ServiceNow Implementation ITSM/HRSD/CSM/ITOM, Certified Master Architect (CMA). Master. Certified Technical Architect (CTA).

• This role requires a high degree of autonomous thinking as you set and deliver your strategy using your experience and guided by broad principles and direction from the Platform Owner and Steering Board. You will work with the Platform teams to create your plans to achieve success.
