Job Description

Location: Lichfield, Midlands

Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain Development

THE ROLE 

This role is a key function within the team; you will be supporting the implementation of our global strategy. We focus on establishing supply chain capabilities that meet the needs of our business through supporting the transformation of our supply chain functions from inbound through to customer returns. This includes the exploration and set up of new FCs, the automation and mechanization of built FCs, the management and enhancements of our existing infrastructure to support business growth and delivering customer focused initiatives with a consideration to profitability of our proposition.

You will be… 

Work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams, both internally and externally to support analysis, concept development, planning and successful execution of projects that drive efficiency and effectiveness in our supply chain

  • With a focus on optimisation, support the on-going evaluation of processes and infrastructure across our E2E supply chain, helping to identify and deliver improvements in both service to customer and cost
  • Support the definition, standardisation and delivery of “best practice” operational process across our supply chain processes
  • Collate, establish and maintain a library of specifications of what our “best practice” looks like for use in future projects
  • Support industry research and analysis on developments and trends, cascading to the wider team to ensure that ASOS are leading the way with the latest innovative solutions
  • Use a strong and broad range of analytical skills to ensure data-driven decision making underpins all of our projects
  • Supporting the project team when assessing operational solution design for the project
  • Assist the team with the development of business cases and working with key stakeholders to enable business/commercial sign off
  • Support the delivery of projects including the co-ordination of functional requirements, execute project administration, ensuring all documentation managed and stored correctly, health checks executed, all external/internal communications delivered, collation and delivery of testing and training plans, post-implementation reviews, benefit realisation etc.
  • Produce programme and category dashboard reports for all live projects/categories, ensuring we maintain transparency
  • Assist in the management of project budgets

Qualifications

We’d love to meet, someone with…  

  • Experience supporting complex Business Change Programmes of work, (desirable that this is within a retail environment)
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed partners
  • Process improvement and process training
  • Working in a Project environment
  • Proficient in MS Office applications – in particular Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Capable of turning around fast and accurate information
  • Able to produce high quality written work
  • Flexible approach and comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Commercial understanding including the development of business cases and ROI calculations, budget management and forecasting
  • Understanding of process design, data modelling and re-engineering
  • Can do attitude with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact at different levels
  • Flexible and self-motivated
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Willing to learn and rise to new challenge

Desirable

  • International logistics experience, preferably in e-Commerce, a high-velocity distribution environment or in a retail supply chain
